Legal Question in Administrative Law in Delaware

I am French and I live in France. I would like to create and manage a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation. Can I do this or do I need to move in the US? The mission of this NPO will be to raise funds worldwide to support medical research.

Good news! Generally speaking, it is possible for a non-US national to establish a 501c3 and be on its board of directors. Keep in mind that the application process for a 501c3 is rather complex and in addition there are certain hurdles that would need to be addressed because you are a foreign national. It is highly advised that an attorney be retained to assist with the formation process.

Please contact my office to discuss this further.
