Disallowed Claims in a Bankruptcy Case
I am a small business owner in California. We sold products to a company in 2001 that has since sought protection under Chapter 11 in Delaware, the state in which it is incorporated. The company owed us about $14,000. We submitted claims as requested for this money. We included copies of their POs and copies of our invoices. These claims have been disallowed and we do not know why. When we asked what we could do about it they said we needed to hire an attorney in Delaware. Is this our only recourse at this point?

It would probably be best. If possible, check to see what other claims have been rejected and look to these attorneys to represent you.
