my LLC has a lease we are going to default on... can i be held personably liable for balance?

The answer depends on the lease and on the manner by which you conduct the business of the LLC. It is possible that your lease has personal liability attached and/or under certain circumstances the limited liability shield of the LLC can be pierced.
