Non-Compete

We are planning to open our own grooming shop, I am able to network w/another groomer to be able to use her shop also for our grooming customers for now. I have a non-compete agreement. According to our Acct., we should be able to take OUR customers w/me should I leave. She is aware that we have business cards & has offered to us to bring them there to her shop, I declined. My partner does not have to sign such, as she doesnt work for this person. Also that, I ''agree not to groom in my home for a period of 6 mths''.. Home does NOT belong to me but to my PARTNER.

Our concern,the customers WE bring in from OUR CARDS & MARKED vehicle & OUR networking (since early June), they call US, should belong to US. I call where I work to book OUR customers.

This came about when my 2 dogs needed grooming & she was looking for help & asked me to apply.

Non-compete agreements are enforeceable but only if reasonably limited both in distance and in time. In addition, there must have been consideration given in exchange. If you want me to review this matter in detail, please call to discuss consultation fees and scheduling an appointment.
