Legal Question in Consumer Law in Delaware
Copy right laws
I had Bought a game from walmart, when i returned home and opened the game there wasn't a disc in the case. when i returned to walmart to switch a game for a new copy there were none in stock. they told me that there was nothing they could do because of copyright laws. If you could please explain what about the copyright laws keeps them from being able to do anything even though what i payed for was not there

Re: Copy right laws
Put simply, the concern is that individuals might purchase a disc, copy it, and then return it for either refund or replacement with another copy. While unauthorized use/copying of protected materials does violate the law it appears that this store has taken an extreme position. In your case, it appears that you never received the material that you paid for and that the store is unwilling to provide you with a replacement. It may be a good idea to speak to the store manager about your situation. Many times these situations can be resolved by simply going a little higher up in the chain. Please give me a call if you continue to experience problems.
