Re: being in court

A subpoena would require you to be in court. If you are served with a subpoena and fail to appear, a body attachment could be issued, you could be arrested, and brought to court and made to testify. However, it is likely that if you were arrested, you would be given a very low bond and released pending the trial. If you are related to the Defendant, you should consult an attorney who may be able to work this case out so your appearance is not necessary.
