Legal Question in Criminal Law in Delaware
Criminal payback
If someone is convicted of shooting a car window, shooting a trailer and injuring someone in the mobile home are they responsible for their medical bills? If they have no money but have land held in trust for another 2 years can the land be taken or sold? If they have a car not involved can it be taken or sold? If the car involved was taken can it be gotten back?

Re: Criminal payback
As a criminal defense attorney for 30 years, I have dealt with this situation. The sentencing order by the Judge should list a restitution order to be paid by defendant before they can finish probation, so please send in the sentencing order for review. You can also convert this into a civil judgement which becomes a lien on defendants' land and vehicles. Ed Pankowski
