Legal Question in Criminal Law in Delaware
Sex Offender
My daughters boyfriend sexually assaulted a girl under 16 when he was under 16. Will he have to register as a sex offender for ever or can he get his record sealed?
Thank you,
Arthur

Re: Sex Offender
It depends on the nature of the disposition, and there is a way to petition after a time period to stop the registration requirement.

Re: Sex Offender
In Delaware, offenders, even juveniles, are required to register as sex offenders at 3 possible tier levels: III, high risk (23%) II moderate risk (40%) I low risk (22%) 15% not required because the sex offense plead to did not require registration. This process will stop upon a filing, and order, of Board of Pardon application, after probation over. Ed Pankowski
