Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Delaware
auto accident
my daughter was in an auto accident 2 yrs ago.She was 24 years old at the time.She was driving the vehicle but
I was the owner of the vehicle.She just got a summons for a civil action relating to the accident.My question is this:If she cannot afford any judgement that may be awarded,can the plantiff then file a judgement against me?

If you were not named in the lawsuit, a judgment cannot be entered against you. If you had insurance on the vehicle, get the legal papers to your insurance agent so the insurance company can assign defense counsel.
