Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Delaware

I recently visited a doctor with my parent, and after asking my parent to leave the room told my doctor in confidentiality that I had been vomiting due to a cough syrup overdose. He told me that it would not leave the room, yet the next day my parents had been informed. What are my legal rights at this time? I am 16, male, living in Delaware, USA.
