If you are a reservist or guardsman returning from active duty you are entitled to free legal advice from the legal assistance office of your unit JAG office who will advise you that a civilian employer must offer you the equivalent of the job you left for the term of your active duty (up to five years) and for a reasonable time after your release from active duty, provided you advise the employer of the date of your deployment and the date of your availability to return to work, which may be delayed if you have medical issues. The relevant law is the Reemployment Rights Act. And the primary enforcement agency is the Department of Labor, whom you may contact directly at your nearest Federal Building or through a military legal assistance lawyer. Good Luck!

Assuming that you are referring to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, your civilian employer, unless it qualifies for a specific exemption, has to hold your job during the period of any Reserve or National Guard mobilization (up to 5 years) and for a reasonable time after your return from duty.
