Interest on monetary bequest

My grandmother died 2 1/2 years ago and her estate is just now due to be settled. Due to alot of dishonesty and theft by another family member, it has been alot of turmoil. I am due to inherit a substantial sum of money as a bequest and I was wondering if there will be interest included in the final payment to me once all is settled due to the fact that it has taken so long. I was informed by someone that there will be interest added but if so at what percentage

Whether your bequest will bear interest will depend on your state's laws. You should check with an attorney in your state with experience administrating estates for input on this question.
