Supreme Court Justice Clerks

What exactly do they do? I have tried to find info but am redirected every where I go!

I am not sure if this question is on the level because I would think there is a lot of information out there on this subject. I would direct you to a history of the Supreme Court written by the late Justice Renquist that details in part his work as a clerk at the Supreme Court just after he got out of law school.

I Presume that what you are talking about are the law clerks who work for each of the justices. These are attorneys, usually younger ones who have graduated within the past few years. Each justice has at least two of them and they do research and write memoranda of law for the judges. It is a very high honor to be selected to work in such capacity. Most of those who are selected are were the very best and brightest law students from the best elite law schools.
