Accepting donations
I'm saving to by a new car. I would like to bake cookies in return for donations. Am I allowed to do that?

Sure, as long as you make crystal clear the essential purpose of these donations, go ahead and bake.(There may be District of Columbia health, business, and/or other licensing regulations/requirements, however, which must first be accommodated before you present that first cookie
for a donation.)
