If your employer implemented a dress code for what it considers an acceptable representation of its business image then it probably is not discrimination.

Yes, in an employment at will jurisdiction such as the District of Columbia, an employer can very likely prescribe this kind of rule
which, if not adhered to by the male employees, can get then summarily discharged---and without legal recourse.
