Legal Question in Criminal Law in District of Columbia

Right to file a police report

I would like to know, if deadly force was threatened agaisnt me and I did not initially file a police report through the building's security. Do I have the right to still file a police report?

Re: Right to file a police report

Sure, you can still file the report but it doesn't have to be through building security but can be filed through any appropriate law enforcement entity that serves yours particular community, e.g., police or sheriff's department,

local magistrate's office, etc.
