Legal Question in Criminal Law in District of Columbia

Can the police go aroung town with picture name and address telling people you are committing crimes you are innocent of. When u have never been charge with a crime question about a crime or arrest for this alledge crime and do I have a case for a civil lawsuite of slander and defamation?

Hard to say, but you might want to talk it over with a criminal defense counsel who also is knowledgeable regarding defamation law in the Commonwealth.
