Legal Question in Criminal Law in District of Columbia

white collar crime

I am being charged by my former emploer charges of embezzelment. I have no means or funds to pay an attorney. Where do I turn? This happened in Washington, DC. Please help

DC has a great system of lawyers called CJA attorneys who should be appointed for your case if you ask, or the public defender.
