Legal Question in Discrimination Law in District of Columbia
Females not required to register for selective service
Males are required to register for selective service at age 18 and if they do not, they are subject to fines, imprisonment, etc. I belive this is blatant discrimination and would like to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of males to require that females must also register or stop requiring registration by males. Can someone help me or advise me on how I may do it myself? Thanks.

Re: Females not required to register for selective service
In situations involving a national emergency, males would be needed for direct combat and females(unless there's a change in the laws)would not be, or so Congress has thus far determined, and therefore, a large pool of males
needs to be available for immediate call up(draft). The method of assuring such a pool is obviously through selective service registration.
Any suit challenging this determination on equal protection or other grounds would likely go nowhere as the courts have traditionally been most deferential to congressional decisions and positions on matters regarding the national security of the United states.
