penalty for 1st offense dwi 'per se'/owi with a .13 bac

What is/are the the standard enforced penalty(s) for--name removed--1st offense ''per se'' dwi/owi with--name removed--BAC of.13 in the D.of C. I have--name removed--perfect driving record (one good point) and no previous offenses. Should I get--name removed--lawyer? What should I pay?

A lawyer familiar with D.C. traffic court practices and procedures may be able to get your

DUI (.08 +) reduced to the less serious charge of

DWI (Driving While Impaired .08 -)since you're a first time offender, although the BAC level is high. This will, also, mean a considerably reduced fine, an automatic suspension of any jail time imposed and, generally, a hassle free probation period that should not extend beyond six months. The reduced charge is, also, much to

be desired in terms of consequences for your insurance coverage and keeping premiums from skyrocketing(although, even this charge will not prevent them from going up for this particular offense).

There are, of course, no guarantees for this kind

of situation and the operative word in my first sentence is "may".
