child support

My husband has children from a previous relationship, as his wife will my income be considered in determining his court appointed child support payments? If so can my wages be garnished?

Re: child support

Your income will not be considered or subject to any kind of attachment.

Child support considers the gross income of the parents only, to the statutory amount (Va Code 20-108.2) they add work related child care and the payment of health care for the child. The total amount is then apportioned among the parents according to their respective income percentage.

Good luck.
