I married 2 yrs ago. now he wants a divorce He owned property and I would like to know if I can get 1/2 of the equity earned while we are married

Whether you could have a valid marital claim to the increase in the equity of the property will likely depend upon whether you have contributed in some way to its increase in value during the course of the marriage and whether you're able to demonstrate credible proof of such contribution.
