Legal Question in Family Law in District of Columbia

is father or not father

My daughter's mother has been taken me thru changes ever since we went to court for child support. I agreed to the support and now I have doubts about if I am the father. Could I still request that a paternity test be done, even if the Judge gave me that option and I didn't take it back then.

Yes. You can request a paternity test if you have reason to believe that this child is not yours. The fact that you did not want to undergo testing when the judge suggested does not mean that you cannot have the test now. Maybe at that time, you had no doubts about the paternity!

Yes, you can and a motion should be filed on your behalf ASAP to have such a test ordered by the court.
