My daughter is being deployed to IRAQ. Am I eligible for the family medical leave act to take time off to care of my granddaughter. I will be the primary care provider for her.

No, the Act does not allow an otherwise eligible employee to take leave to care for the dependent child of a daughter or other immediate family member being deployed to Iraq(or anywhere else).
