FMLA work-related question
Can supervisor/manager contact employees who are on FMLA to discuss work related actions?

Re: FMLA work-related question
Yes and no. Employers are allowed to contact those on FMLA leave for a variety of work-related matters such as return to work and alternative work schedules if medically possible. There is no specific prohibition on calling.
Of course, when you are on FMLA, you are off work and not getting paid, so the employer can not ask you to perform work. So if the "work-related actions" have to do with actual work, then you would have a legitimate right to refuse since you are not getting paid.
Keep in mind that they are still your employer, though, and act accordingly. It's rarely worth making an issue out of a minor item.
Best of luck with recovery.
