Legal Question in Civil Litigation in District of Columbia

from poor customer service to harassment

recently stayed at a hotel, i made a complaint against front desk employee for rudeness. talked with the GM, who told me that the clerks was about to get fired, that night i received a phone call from the front desk and said they had the wrong room, the next nite, the clerk sent security up to my room around midnight with a Internet cable, that he said i ordered. not true. i was told by the security guy that that clerk like too ''mess'' with guest. i was scared, lost sleep etc., i called the GM again, he never called me back, upon check out, i was given a nites credit (i have yet to receive the check) and was told that was the clerks last nite. they blew off my complaint, only to say he didnt work for them anymore. can i sue them and if so on what grounds. this is a chain hotel with 3-5 star service

that might remotely compare to the time, effort and expense that would likely be involved in this effort?
