Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

need to confirm my status

hi

i changed my status from f1 to h1 while in US last year ..never left US since then and havent got the stamping yet..

now , when i went to the DMV in my state, to get my drivers license, they said they were not able to pull my information based on the i94 in my petition...even SSN office cant pull my information..

what does it mean....am i out of status?

or is my information not available in their database, since i never left US after my change of status approval...

Probably the latter, i.e., your information is not in their database. (You could always check with USCIS that nothing is amiss with your case.)
