Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

Employment Authorization Document

Hello there,

I currently hold an A-1 visa status. I am 23 years of age, a student, and reside with my father who works at an embassy. I want to see if I qualify to obtain a work permit . According to form I-765, I am able to but I want to confirm if that is the case or not and how hard would it be?

Any help in this matter would be appreciated!

Re: Employment Authorization Document

You can download USCIS Form I-566 with instructions from this agency's website. If you meet the qualifying criteria for a work permit, it should not be difficult to obtain. (Your home country must permit employment by American citizens residing there in situations similar to yours.)
