Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

Fiance\Spouse Visa

Question: I am US Citizen my Fianc is in Pakistan what is the fastest and more easier\cheaper way she can join me here in US?

I know I have two options:

Option-1

I apply for fianc visa (Form I-29F) for her and she can come on non-immigrant visa in the US and I can marry her within 90days in the US.

Option-2

I will go to Pakistan marry her in Pakistan come back to US apply her Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130) and wait for years may be before my wife can join me in the US with Green-card?

Please advise what is the quickest way she can join me here in US? What visa I should apply for her?

Re: Fiance\Spouse Visa

Apply for a K-1 fiance visa in her behalf(the first option).

Re: Fiance\Spouse Visa

If you and your fiance are serious about marriage, I would recommend you file a fiance visa. Although filing an I-130 does not mean you would wait for years, a fiance visa does speed things up a bit provided all is in order. The only problem is that if your fiance comes in on a K1 visa, if something goes wrong she must return to Pakistan because she will not be able to adjust her status to lawful permanent resident any other way. Good luck!
