Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

green card holder visiting England

My husband is a legal resident of the United States and is a green card holder. His country of orgin is Peru. We are planning a trip to Italy and England next month and will need to apply for a visa for both countries. Do you know if this will be a difficult process to obtain a visa? Is it a pretty simple approval process since he is a legal resident?

Dear Inquirer:

Your husband should not have trouble obtaining a visa to visit England or Italy, as long as he is not a criminal, terrorist or an intending immigrant to either of those countries. If you are a US Citizen, you do not need a visa to travel to countries signatory to the "visa waiver" treaty for up to 90 days, including England and Italy.

Assuming that you're both going as "turistas", your visa requests should be routinely approved.
