H1b transfer/renewal

I am on H1B with employer X which is due for renewal in a couple of months. Meanwhile another interested employer Y filed for H1B transfer and it is approved. I did not join employer Y yet. Now my current employer X wishes to renew my H1B. I am also interested to remain with employer X. Will there be a problem if employer X applies for H1B renewal?

No, why should there be a problem. Employer Y simply filed an application for you. If you are not going to work for him, where is the issue? Have employer Y simply withdraw or indicate that he does not intend to hire you. Who was the lawyer involved with the H1B -- it should occur to you to ask him about this issue, yes? Good luck.

No, there should be no problem, but you should inform employer Y of your decision and request that they cancel with USCIS their application filed in your behalf for the transfer.
