Re: Stay extension
Yes, an extension of stay may be filed. Such extension will generally be granted if a copy of a return plane ticket is enclosed, together with an affidavit of support.

Re: Stay extension
Yes, you can file for and extend your mom's status for a total period not to exceed 6 months, unless there is a specific notation in her passport to the contrary (but even then, CIS has occasionally exended such status in the past). You should also be aware that your mom's prolonged stay in the U.S. may pose more questions from the U.S. government in the future, as it is not typical for a visitor to come here so often and stay for 6 months at a time.
Re: Stay extension
She can file to extend her nonimmigrant status. She will need to do so before her expiration of stay, and show both financial means to support herself and reason for her to return in a timely fashion. You will need to become a US citizen before you can file for her to become a permanent resident. If you have further questions please contact my office.
Re: Stay extension
She can extend her stay for a good reason; give me a good reason and we can do. Second, you cannot sponsor your mom until you have your citizenship and then it's quick. If you obtained your residency through a spouse, you can apply for citizenship in 2 years 9 months after obtaining your lawful permmanent residency. If you obtained your residency in another form, you have to wait 4 years and 9 months. If you fall in one of these categories, apply for your citizenship (provided you qualify) and then you can petition for your Mom. A good thing to do.
Good luck! (any questions call my office)
