Is there a cap or filing deadline for claiming back pay for underpayment under union contract?

Re: back pay time limit
The collective bargaining agreement may have specific terms. Under most laws (e.g., the Fair Labor Standards Act) back pay is limited to two years retroactive to the date of filing (three years if intentional failure to pay is claimed). You may also be eligible for attorney fees in such cases. We handle employment matters in DC and MD. For more information, see our website at www.employment-law.biz.

Better ask your union shop steward or representative for an answer to this question.
