Legal Question in Employment Law in District of Columbia
furlough days
My employer is requiring that each person take 5 furlough days without pay between now and July 31. The statement made is that a person must take either 5 continuous days or a day each week for five weeks. If it is a day each week we are told it can be a different day each week.
There is a question of whether the 5 continuous days must be taken within the same week or could roll from say, Wednesday of one week through Tuesday or the next (Saturdays and Sunday are non-working.)
Please advise.

Re: furlough days
This would be an issue for your employer to decide and not the District of Columbia Code or caselaw (in my opinion).
