Legal Question in Employment Law in District of Columbia
legal meaning of paragraph from court order
I need to know what the judge is ordering me to do by the following paragraph. It is ordered that respondent shall, within 15 days from the date of this order, file the record on appeal, accompanied by a motion for leave to file the record on appeal out of time.

Within 15 days you are ordered to file the papers necessary for an appeal accompanied by the papers required to ask the court that you be allowed to file the appeal late or beyond the time normally alloted for this appeal.

Mr. Hendrickson is probably 100% correct, but just to be sure, you might check with the clerk of the court. (Just call the clerk's office and ask the question.) Sometimes there are odd court rules, time limits or other matters that are not obvious in the Order itself.
Good luck.
