Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in District of Columbia
Can my landlord evict me without giving me proper notice. My landlord put my notices in my mailbox but I never received a key for my mailbox so I had no knowledge of the eviction.

No. Proper notice must be provided. Placing eviction papers in a location which you are unable to access is unacceptable.
