Legal Question in Legal Ethics in District of Columbia
Political activities on federal property
Is it a violation of law for an agency of the executive branch to post posters of political parties on federal property? These posters do not name a candidate, but represent the parties themselves. There's a DNC poster and a Green party poster. Doesn't seem appropriate to be placed on the wall of the lobby of a federal building. Perhaps if they had all the parties posters, it would be okay, but I imagine the policy or law is that they just don't put any of that up.

Re: Political activities on federal property
If the particular federal agency involved on whose property these posters appear apparently has no problem with this particular practice, then it's unlikely that there is any general federal law which would specifically prohibit these kinds of posters from being placed around in these kinds of places.
