Spitting on the body of a person.
If someone spits on any part of a person's body during verbal exchanges, can legal charges of any kind be brought against the person who spat? This incident occured in Washington, District of Columbia. Are there any laws in the District of Columbia againts spitting on the body of a person?
Thank you.

You could try to have them prosecuted for assault, but in DC I doubt the US Attorney would be interested. You could also sue civilly, but what are your damages? It's just not worth it.
