dies without will

my father died without leaving a will.i want to find out if he still has property in his name.also before he died he signed power of attoney over to my couisn.does power of attoney go on after death?also how do i find out what property is currently in his name?

A Power of Attorney does not survive death. There are a number of ways to research real property (land) records, depending on the jurisdiction. Some of these resources require a subscription. An attorney may be able to assist with you this.
