Legal Question in Real Estate Law in District of Columbia

Can I move out before the lease ends?

I signed a one year lease, and I have 4 months left. I want to know if it's possible to move out before the lease ends, because I've been offered a job in other city.

Sure you can move out, but you will still owe rent for the balance of the term. Go see the property manager, be up-front and cut a deal with them. They might let you off the hook if they can re-rent the apartment.
