Legal Question in Traffic Law in District of Columbia

10 years ago, one of my friends was pulled over and after searching they found old mushrooms in his backpack. they were not under the influence of any drugs except that they have been drinking. he did not take care of this issue and now he has a warrant for his arrest in Washington DC. what can he do to resolve this issue?

He must hire a criminal defense attorney IMMEDIATELY. If he gets pulled over for speeding or is stopped by the police for any reason, he will go to jail.
