Legal Question in Traffic Law in District of Columbia
Inspection Stickers
How can Washington, D.C. give a ticket for an inspection sticker that has expired when it is not from their jurisdiction? I am a Virginia resident and forgot about my inspection sticker. It was 2 days overdue. I can understand Virginia giving me a ticket, but not D.C. The DC DMV states they require inspection stickers, but what if a person comes from an area that does not have inspections and is visiting DC?

Re: Inspection Stickers
If you don't live in DC and your vehicle is not registered there, DC has no way, in reality, of enforcing their rule regarding inspection stickers.
I would not lose any sleep over this one.
