Maximum penalty is 1 year and/or a $1000 fine. Additionally, there is a 5 day mandatory minimum jail sentence if convicted. The prosecutor's office is not likely to offer a good plea deal. It is important to consult with an experienced DUI attorney to assess all possible defenses. I specialize in DUI defense and do not charge for initial consults. I can be reached at 240-753-8222, website at www.brucklaw.com.
