Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in District of Columbia

Personal Representative

I am trying to obtain some prescription records for my wife, who passed away on Sept. 17, 2006. There is no will because everything was jointly owned. Therefore there was no need to go to probate court. How can I get these records without going to court? Also there is no estate.

Re: Personal Representative

If the holder of these records refuses to release them to you, then you will likely have to sue under HIPPA or other pertinent enactments in order to obtain these records.

You will otherwise not likely get them

without litigating the matter.
