Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in District of Columbia
Who is provided for in the will of deceased X
Alcoholic ''X'' husband leaves will at site of suicide. Has 3 children 31, 20 & 16. Told by his brothers that if there were anything, they would pass it on to the children. They will not communicate with me. How do I determine if will has been read and executed? Are they abliged to do so? Don't believe he left much due to quit job 4 years prior to death. Is there some avenue to determine if will has been acted upon outside of asking my ''X'' brother in laws?

CALL THE SURROGATE'S OFFICE IN THE COUNTY HE RESIDED IN WHEN HE DIED AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THE STATUS. FOR A SMALL FEE, YOU CAN GET A COPY OF THE WILL, IF ONE WAS PROBATED.
