Legal Question in Workers Comp in District of Columbia
Where is company to file? out of state
Hi, I'm not certain if I'm recieving
correct/full information from my
employer and I'm not certain where to
go. I was injured in an auto accident
(hit from behind) while working in
Virginia. I am in management so my
office is at home (in DC), my Team is
located in Virginia and Corporate is in
Boston. I pay taxes from DC, where is
my company suppose to be filing? I
haven't recieved a straight answer as to
how this works, does PIP cover, what
state should they be looking at for WC,
it's going on 3 weeks so what happens
then? I'm very concerned because I keep
being referred to different people who
don't call back. Any advice???

Re: Where is company to file? out of state
If the injury occurred in Virginia where your particular team is located, the workman's compensation claim would be filed in that state.
(You have two years from the date of the injury to file.)
