Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Under Contract Days vs. Business Days

Our contract states the closing will be 35 days or less from the end of the inspection period. Does this mean general days or business days?

In addition, does the seller have the authority to request a specific closing date once all contigencies have been met?

Re: Under Contract Days vs. Business Days

It means general days, includes weekends and holidays.

The date is set by the original contract. If its 35 days after all contingencies, that is the date of closing, unless the specific date according to the calendar falls on a weekend or holiday, which would then mean that the closing takes place on next business day.
