Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
A medical cost is $57,000 for a person in an accident, The person in an accident is insured and is covered with $50,000. The remainder $7,000 is left for the injured person to pay. Can that person sue the person at fault for the 7 grand?

Yes, unless he signed a general release. He may also be able to sue for pain, suffering and permanency of the injury.

If the insurance company already has knowledge of the $57,000 bill you may be able to obtain additional money from the insurance company in 'bad faith'. which is usually amounts to better chance on collecting then trying to collect from an individual.
