Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I purchased a game server from a hosting company. After 3 weeks the service was poor so we moved. The hosting company then took out another months payment after we had cancelled the service. There is now a credit on our account that they will not refund as it was our responsibility to cancel the paypal subscription. I am from Australia and the company is USA based. My question is are they aloud to keep the money or do they have to return it. They have also stated in a email they would refund it but has since gone back on it as I uploaded a video on youtube explaining what they had done.

Once again please provide me with the transaction id and I would be more than glad to refund you as you have been a long time client and understand that the payment was a mistake.

Is the problem with Paypayl? Check your paypal terms and services agreement because I have had several clients complain about paypal's retention of funds or back charging. This may be entirely within your terms and services agreement with paypal, but you should review the document and contact an attorney to be sure.
