Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Possible time for grand theft auto & trespassing
My friend was recently charged with grand theft auto and trespassing charges in Florida. He has some prior convictions that were withheld in Alabama. He was clear of probation as well. What is the timeframe of jail time that he could be charged with if convicted?

Re: Possible time for grand theft auto & trespassing
Under Florida Law, the prior Alabama convictions can be scored against your boyfriend. I would need to know what the AL charges were, and what type of trespassing your boyfriend was charged with in this incident, before being able to fully answer your question. If you'd like a consultation, I can be reached at 407-679-3823. Stanley E. Halbert, Esq.
